Last Sunday the kids and I went to Waco for a few days. We started at my Aunt Julie and Uncle Lee's house. My mom, brother, Robert, cousin Sarah and her husband Taylor, their son Carter, cousins Stephen, Andrew and his wife Heather all came over for dinner. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up a little. And the food was delicious! Then we headed over to Robert's to spend the night. Monday morning we went to the YMCA to swim in their outdoor pool. It has a slide, a mushroom fountain, a dumping fountain and is very kid-friendly. We all enjoyed being in the water on a hot day, except for my mom who isn't a "water" person, but wanted to come watch the kids swim. We then went home for lunch. After naps the kids and I went to the Mayborn Children's Museum to meet our friends Kendi, Tate and Tori. The museum is awesome and the kids had a blast exploring everything! After the museum we went to Ninfa's for dinner. Oh, how I have missed Ninfa's! It was just as yummy as I remembered! We all had a nice dinner. The kids behaved so well that Kendi and I actually got to have some adult conversation. Tuesday morning we went swimming at my brother's apartment complex. Kendi, Tate and Tori came over to join us and again we all had fun in the water. That afternoon after lunch and Anson's nap we went over to Kendi's to see their new house. It is quite lovely. They have a big backyard with lots of trees that give shade so the kids had fun playing outside for a little while. Then we came in and enjoyed popsicles and playing some more before getting on the road and heading home. Overall we had a fantastic time in Waco! The kids loved spending time with their Uncle Robert, and Genevieve loved spending time with her buddy Tate. I had fun visiting with everyone and am excited that my friend Kendi didn't move too far away so we can still see each other occasionally. We all look forward to visiting everyone in Waco again!

Looks like fun! I love the picture of all four kids on the swing. And Anson's curls are to die for!!!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Wish I could have been there to hang out with the fam. And I'm super jealous about Ninfa's... what I wouldn't give for a ninfarita and spinach enchiladas right now!
