In November Ollie was working at the Children's Hospital in the Neurology department. His schedule allowed him to have a long lunch, long enough for us to come visit. The kids had fun seeing where Daddy worked and checking out the cool things the hospital had for children. The train display was a big hit! We also enjoyed a tasty lunch in the cafeteria. Thanks, Daddy, for showing us your "office"!
Being that we moved to a new city in October we had new neighborhood to explore on Halloween. The kids were excited to go door to door for candy. This year Anson really got it and loved following Genevieve to each house. We learned quickly that our neighborhood goes all out for holidays by all the wonderful decorations. It was a fun evening and quite a success for our little cookie and milk!
I love fall in Texas! The weather is always so fantastic! It's just great to be outside! Well, on one of these fantastic fall days we met our friends Chelsey and Elliott and Denise and Gracie at the pumpkin patch. Being that Genevieve doesn't get to see her best friend Gracie on a daily basis anymore, Genevieve was thrilled to spend time with her pal! All the kids had blast on the playground, in jump houses, with the hay bales, in the petting zoo, on the wagon ride, on the tractor ride, on the pony ride and just exploring everything! And of course it was fun to pick out our own pumpkins to take home! What a fun day!
Grammie and Pappaw's neighbors invited Genevieve and Anson over for a pumpkin decorating party one night. Genevieve had a blast decorating her pumpkin and Anson's! They also enjoyed playing on the play structure, eating pizza and making new friends!
For the third year in a row we met the Rosenburgs at the zoo for the Boo at the Zoo event. This year they changed it up a little, it is no longer at night, it's all in the pavillion rather than spread out all over the zoo and is now on the weekends only. Being that it was a beautiful fall day I think everyone in town was there. But we still all had a good time! Genevieve was so excited to be able to spend the afternoon with her buddy, Max! The kids enjoyed the treat stations the best! How can you not when you get lots of candy?! They also enjoyed eating lunch, running around, dancing, playing games and decorating pumpkins. A fun time was had by all!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and father, Ollie, who is busy pursuing his dream to be a doctor, a mother to a sweet, but sassy five year old girl, Genevieve, and a cuddly, but demanding two year old boy, Anson. I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, reading, musicals, hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming, the 80's, shopping, traveling (wish I could do this more often), baking, photography, animal rights, playing cards, backgammon, sudoku, Kraft macaroni & cheese, summers in Seattle, spring in New Mexico, fall in Texas, chocolate, real conversations about politics and religion with open-minded people, family walks, the smell of coffee, sunflowers, raspberries, vegetarianism, hanging out with friends and family. Life is continuously an adventure at our house!
