A group of us recently celebrated Kendi's birthday at Uno's. We had some yummy pizza, great conversation and sweet cupcakes for dessert! Happy Birthday to my wonderful friend, Kendi!

Anson's 1 Year Old!!!
On February 6th our little man turned one! Wow, what a year it's been! It's crazy to think that just one year ago Ollie and I were at the hospital holding Anson for the first time. 365 days and countless sleepness nights later, he's as busy as a bee! We couldn't imagine life without him. He brings such joy to our lives!
We had Anson's 1st Birthday Party at our house with a few close friends and family. He enjoyed having everyone here, but for the most part didn't know what was going on. He was a little curious about some of his presents while Genevieve helped open them. And the cake (that my talented friend Kendi made) wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. But overall we had a wonderful time celebrating Anson's special day with our close friends and family. Happy, Happy Birthday, Sweet Anson! We love you so much!

Lunch with The Wilson's
For the month of January Ollie and our friend Ben had the good fortune of being placed in the same doctors office. So one day for their lunch break, Chelsey, Elliott, Anson & I (Genevieve was in school) met the boys for a yummy lunch at Sonny's. We always have a good time when we're together and this time was no different. Anson was on his best behavior and was all smiles, especially when it came to Elliott, he was so fascinated by her. And Elliott was her usual serious, cute self! We are blessed to have the Wilson's as such great friends and we will miss them next year!

Western Day
Genevieve's school recently had a Western Day. All the kids dressed in western wear, which we didn't have much of, so we borrowed boots from Genevieve's friend Tate, used a suede fringed vest that was my mom's when she was a kid, and put a bandana around her neck, and we were good to go. Then the kids had a special indoor "campfire" where they say songs, listened to some stories and had some trail mix while learning about Texas/Western culture. It was really cute to see the cowboys and cowgirls all dressed up and excited for a fun day!

Date Night x2
Ollie and I are very good about giving each other quality time with our friends. I'll have a girls night or he'll have a guys night, but we aren't the best about remembering to give each other special nights out together. This has been one of our New Year's Resolutions, to have more date nights. So we recently went out for a lovely Italian dinner at Sardine's. Then following that we tried Times Ten, a wine cellar. We had a great night out together. You would think that would be it for awhile, but no, we were fortunate enough to have two date nights in one week! My friend Amanda and her husband had a pair of tickets to a Mavericks game they weren't going to use and offered them to us. Thanks, Amanda and Travis! Being basketball fans we were eager to use them. So not only did we have one wonderful date night, we had two! We are truly blessed!

Children's Museum
Here in Fort Worth, the Children's Museum has been under construction for over a year now. It finally opened, newly refurbished. Anson and I went to check it out one day with SAA, a group of spouses and significant others through Ollie's school. We went one morning while Genevieve was in school. It was so cool! There was so much to explore! Anson had a blast! We can't wait to go back with Genevieve and Daddy!

Bath time with Anson
Anson is at an age right now where he absolutely loves taking baths. It's to the point that as soon as he hears the bath water running he starts crawling in that direction in excitement. He loves to splash and by the end Ollie or I are soaked. He also is a huge daredevil and prefers to stand as much as possible (NOT SO SAFE!). Usually the kids take a bath together and that's its own adventure, but this day Anson had a solo bath while Genevieve was at school. From the pics you can tell he enjoyed himself as much as always.
