Botanic Gardens with SAA

We recently spent a beautiful morning at the Botanic Gardens with a group from SAA, the spouse's group through Ollie's school. There was a good turnout, with about twelve kiddos of all different ages. Genevieve loved running around with her buddy, Tate, and we all enjoyed being outdoors!

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday while Ollie was home for the weekend we decided to try out a new pumpkin patch at the Country Critters Farm. We had a fun time bouncing in the bounce houses, taking a hay ride, checking out all the animals in the petting zoo, eating lunch and picking out the perfect pumpkins to take home. Genevieve also got to take a pony ride, but she was not a fan of this at all! As soon as the pony started moving, unexplainably, she started crying! Overall though, we had wonderful time!

Genevieve abandoned me during this picture.

You can't tell in this pic, but Genevieve is crying to get off the pony.
Hurry up Dad and take this picture where I can get off of this pony!
Ollie was the only one who would cooperate for this picture
Again I couldn't get the kids to cooperate in any pumpkin pictures

Log Cabin Village

On Friday Genevieve, Anson and I met Kendi, Tate and Tori at Log Cabin Village for story time, songs and a craft. We had never been before and the kids had a lot of fun! Genevieve and Tate enjoyed the story and craft. Then afterwards we all enjoyed exploring the grounds. Genevieve and Tate had fun doing everything together! It was a nice day for a new adventure with our friends!

Tate & Genevieve with their crafty spiders
Making cornbread
Grinding coffee
In the chicken coop
Pumping water from the well
Checking out the water-powered gristmill
Trying to get a pic of them smiling at the camera, but Genevieve was a little scared and Tate wouldn't look at the camera. Oh well!

The Dallas Arboretum - The Great Pumpkin Festival

Ollie was able to come home again this past weekend, and this time we all met over in Dallas at my parents' (aka Grammie and Pappaw's) house for some fun. The six of us went over to The Arboretum on Saturday, where they are having their annual fall festival, complete with a pumpkin house and all. Genevieve loved it last year, and this year it was time to bring Anson along for the fun. The weather wasn't the greatest, it was cold and damp, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We took some absolutely adorable pictues, or so I think:) Enjoy!

Mary Poppins

Thursday night Amanda, Mindy, Chelsey and I went to see the musical Mary Poppins over in Dallas' Fairpark. I love musicals and this one didn't disappoint! We all enjoyed singing and dancing along in our seats. The show was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
