Halloween Week - Boo at the Zoo

Tuesday before Halloween we met our friends Melanie and Max at the zoo for the Boo at the Zoo event. We went last year with Melanie and Max as well and Genevieve remembered and was excited to go again together. The evening consists of treat stations scattered throughout the zoo, and games and activities for the kids sprinkled in between. It was a little chilly, but all toughed it out and fabulous time!

Halloween Week - Candy

Of course trick or treating is a blast, but the best part is to come home and see what all you collected. We told Genevieve she could have one piece of candy before bed and it was a lot of fun dumping out our loot to find the perfect piece. Anson didn't get to eat any candy, but still enjoyed sucking on the wrappers. After the kids went to bed mommy and daddy helped trim down the supply a little further:)

Halloween Week - Neighborhood Trick or Treating

Every year the Saturday before Halloween our neighborhood does trick or treating. There are popcorn, hot dog and drink stations throughout the neighborhood. Everyone comes out dressed in their costumes for a fun evening! Our banana was so excited to go trick or treating again and our monkey enjoyed his first Halloween!

Halloween Week - Church Party

After Tate's party we headed over to church where they were having a Halloween party. They had games, crafts and a pinata. The weather was wonderful and we all enjoyed the festivities!

Halloween Week - Tate's Birthday Party

This year Halloween was a fun-filled week long adventure. We kept busy with all sort of activities, so many in fact, that I have to make multiple posts about all the fantastic things we did! We started on the 24th with Tate's 4th Birthday Party, which was a costume party. Genevieve had a great time celebrating with her friend!

Botanic Gardens with SAA

We recently spent a beautiful morning at the Botanic Gardens with a group from SAA, the spouse's group through Ollie's school. There was a good turnout, with about twelve kiddos of all different ages. Genevieve loved running around with her buddy, Tate, and we all enjoyed being outdoors!

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday while Ollie was home for the weekend we decided to try out a new pumpkin patch at the Country Critters Farm. We had a fun time bouncing in the bounce houses, taking a hay ride, checking out all the animals in the petting zoo, eating lunch and picking out the perfect pumpkins to take home. Genevieve also got to take a pony ride, but she was not a fan of this at all! As soon as the pony started moving, unexplainably, she started crying! Overall though, we had wonderful time!

Genevieve abandoned me during this picture.

You can't tell in this pic, but Genevieve is crying to get off the pony.
Hurry up Dad and take this picture where I can get off of this pony!
Ollie was the only one who would cooperate for this picture
Again I couldn't get the kids to cooperate in any pumpkin pictures
