Girls' Night
Last night Amanda, Kendi & I had one of our "Girls' Nights". We started by getting pedicures, which felt wonderful! We then went to the Movie Tavern for some food and a chick flick. We saw The Proposal. It was a really cute movie! We had a blast just chatting and hanging out! I am really blessed to have gotten to know these girls the past few years while our hubbies are in med-school. We always have a great time together! I'm gonna miss them next year when we all go in different directions, but I know we'll stay in touch! Thanks girls for a lovely evening!

Grammie & Pappaws
Sunday we went over to Dallas to celebrate Father's Day with my dad. That night Ollie, Anson & I headed home and left Genevieve there for a few days to hang out with Grammie and Pappaw. She loves going to their house! From what I heard she had a blast, as usual! She already had a blow-up pool that she swam in there, but Pappaw thought she needed a bigger one. So she spent the afternoons swimming. One day Grammie and Genevieve made a cake. Genevieve loves to bake, especially if she gets to lick the bowl or spoon afterwards! Genevieve had a wonderful time with Grammie and Pappaw and was wiped out when she got home! Here are a few pics that my parents shared with me from Genevieve's visit.

Swimming & Grilling
Saturday we spent the day with our friends, the Rosenburgs, swimming and grilling. It was so nice to have Ollie around for the whole day without having to worry about school! We swam in the pool all afternoon. We were in there for hours! Genevieve had a blast swimming, especially with her friend Max! She is definitely our little fish! She has no fear of the water! We also grilled some yummy veggies, tofu and chicken! It was a wonderful, relaxing day with good friends, just what a summer day should feel like!

4th Year Here We Come!
Friday officially was Ollie's last day of his 3rd year of medical school! YEA!!! Fourth year here we come! Woo hoo! I am so proud of Ollie and all the hard work he has put in to get this far. We have only one year left and he'll be a doctor! There is a light at the end of the tunnel now and we are looking forward to the last year of medical school! I can't believe it's finally here! To celebrate we got a babysitter Friday night and went out on the town! We started at Cabo Grande for some yummy mexican food with our friends and fellow med-students, Jonathan & Paras. We then went to rooftop patio bar at the Reata to enjoy the atmosphere and some drinks. We ended the night meeting some more friends at The Fox & the Hound. Being that I haven't been out in along time due to a baby, I was pretty tired, but still had a fabulous time with my future doctor husband!

Dutch Branch Park
Thursday morning Genevieve, Anson & I met our friends Kendi, Tate & Tori at the Dutch Branch Park. It is a really cool park with a duck pond and huge old wood playground. It was a hot day, but there was plenty of shade and a nice breeze. There is so much to do, Genevieve & Tate kept very busy! So busy Genevieve came home and after lunch and took almost a three hour nap! We had lots of fun and can't wait to play with our friends again soon!

Playdate with The Gordons
Yesterday we went over to our friends, the Gordons, for a playdate. Genevieve was so excited to get to play with her friend, Vivien. All the way over there she kept asking me if we were there yet! They had a lot of fun together and kept busy! A few times they had a little trouble sharing, but what three year old doesn't?! They enjoyed having a tea party, playing with playdough and making macaroni and bead necklaces. Anson got to see his little girlfriend, Cassidy for a little bit before he ate and fell asleep. Cassidy is almost a month older than him. I had a nice time with their mom, my friend Jen. It's always nice to have some adult conversation every once in awhile:) We look forward to the next time we get to see The Gordons!

The Frog Pool
Yesterday after Ollie got home from work we headed over to the "Frog Pool" as Genevieve calls it, otherwise known as the YMCA for the first time this summer. We were all excited to go to this pool. This is one thing we've enjoyed as a family the past two summers since moving to Fort Worth. Genevieve was excited to share this experience with Anson. In the car ride over she was telling him all about it. Genevieve had a ball splashing in the water, practicing her "lessons" and going down the frog slide. Anson loved lying in Ollie's or my lap relaxing in the water. He relaxed so much he fell asleep. I'm a little nervous to try going to the pool with two kids on my own, without Ollie, but we hope to use this pool as much as possible this summer!

Flight Museum
Ollie had to work at the hospital all day Saturday and Sunday. So I decided to take the kids over to Dallas and hang out with my parents and brother. My dad, Robert, Genevieve & I made a trip to the Flight Museum at Love Field on Saturday afternoon. I had never been before and it was pretty cool. We saw every kind of flying aircraft from the earliest days through today's modern military, commercial and aerospace vehicles. After walking through the exhibits Genevieve got to play in the children's area and had a blast! The museum was a fun, new place to explore!
