Genevieve loves to have her toes painted and every once in awhile I paint them. One day she was bugging me to do it and so I said yes. Anson, being that he loves his sister so much and always wants to do what she does, wanted his toes painted too! So both kids got a pedicure. Genevieve picked a purple color and Anson picked blue. They thought they looked fabulous!
Before heading home we stopped in Waco for a few days to spend some time with Uncle Robert and visit our friends, The Maruskas. The kids loved swimming at Robert's pool! Even better was Pappaw swam too, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos of him in the water. Later while Robert was at work we met our friends for dinner. I loved catching up with my friend, Kendi, and the kids loved seeing Tori (Tate was at VBS). The next morning we went to the Y to swim at their cool kid-friendly pool with Uncle Robert and The Maruskas. Fun! Genevieve loved playing with Tate! It was a nice visit and the kids keep asking to go to Waco again!
One weekend while Ollie was working, the kids and I headed to Austin to see Uncle Able, Aunt Delilah and Hiawa for a few days. Genevieve and Anson were so excited to play with their cousin! We had fun reading books, playing with Hiawa's toys, going to the park, swimming, going to another park, eating and just being with our relatives all weekend long!
Genevieve and I met our friends Madeline and Sarah Marie and the pool recently. It was a great way to cool off on a summer day and the girls had a blast splashing around together!
Our garden produced its first tomatoes and we were excited to go out and pick them. The kids loved helping Daddy find the ripe ones, showing Mommy, then eating them in one bite!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and father, Ollie, who is busy pursuing his dream to be a doctor, a mother to a sweet, but sassy five year old girl, Genevieve, and a cuddly, but demanding two year old boy, Anson. I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, reading, musicals, hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming, the 80's, shopping, traveling (wish I could do this more often), baking, photography, animal rights, playing cards, backgammon, sudoku, Kraft macaroni & cheese, summers in Seattle, spring in New Mexico, fall in Texas, chocolate, real conversations about politics and religion with open-minded people, family walks, the smell of coffee, sunflowers, raspberries, vegetarianism, hanging out with friends and family. Life is continuously an adventure at our house!
