Our second day we got up early, ate breakfast at the hotel, then headed to Bandelier National Monument, which is about thirty minutes outside of Santa Fe near Los Alamos. Bandelier is an ancient cliff dwelling where Native Americans once lived. It contains a number of ancestral pueblo homes, kivas (ceremonial structures), rock paintings and petroglyphs. We were so excited go on a hike! We miss living so close to the mountains to be able to do stuff like this all the time! It was a great adventure!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and father, Ollie, who is busy pursuing his dream to be a doctor, a mother to a sweet, but sassy five year old girl, Genevieve, and a cuddly, but demanding two year old boy, Anson. I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, reading, musicals, hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming, the 80's, shopping, traveling (wish I could do this more often), baking, photography, animal rights, playing cards, backgammon, sudoku, Kraft macaroni & cheese, summers in Seattle, spring in New Mexico, fall in Texas, chocolate, real conversations about politics and religion with open-minded people, family walks, the smell of coffee, sunflowers, raspberries, vegetarianism, hanging out with friends and family. Life is continuously an adventure at our house!
Your pictures are perfect and beautiful. Did you take them? Wouldn't it be nice to have this practically in your backyard to enjoy year round.
