On day four we drove about an hour and a half to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was really neat! We had to wade through a creek to then get to the sand, where we then walked to the dunes. It was really windy, but from what we hear it's always like that. It felt nice to all of us to have our feet in the sand, all of us except Anson. We took off his shoes and set him down and he hated it. It was quite funny and actually Genevieve was the exact same way when she was his age. So both kids as young toddlers DO NOT like the feeling of sand in their toes! Strange kiddos:) Other than that we had a good time. Genevieve and Ollie even tried sledding down one of the dunes, but it wasn't as smooth as they thought, but still fun! Unfortunately we couldn't stay as long as we would of wanted because it started to rain. On our way home we stopped at Dairy Queen for some yummy treats. Genevieve enjoyed an ice cream sandwich! When we got home before dinner Pappaw taught Genevieve (and Anson) how to play Chinese Checkers. Overall we had a wonderful day together!

Wish we could have spent more time there. I liked the feel of sand on my feet!
