Date Night

This week Ollie is working nights for his OBGYN rotation. This means he is up all night and needs to sleep all day. So to let him actually get some sleep, Genevieve, Anson & I headed over to Dallas to spend the week with my parents. This way everyone is happy! Ollie gets some sleep, the grandkids get some quality time with Pappaw & Grammie and I get some help with two kiddos! Luckily he had one night off. So Tuesday night we were blessed to be able to go out on a date, a rare thing with two kiddos, one that is breastfeeding. We started out by going to eat at one of my favorite places from my high school days, Snuffer's. We got Cheddar Fries! Hmmm, they are so yummy, but so bad for you too! We enjoyed just hanging out and having adult conversation. Then we went St. Martins for dessert. It was a neat place and our first time there. We were the only people there (Tuesday night, 9 pm), but Ollie joked that he had rented out the place for us. The atmosphere was kind of swanky and they had a really talented piano player. Oh, and the reason for being there, the desserts, were fantastic! I had the the chocolate mousse!

  2. Jealous! I always want a date night, but when it comes down to it, I would rather stay home and enjoy my company (the only babysitters I have and trust!)
