Fun in the Snow
On our fourth day home, it had snowed the night before and warmed up a little bit, so we bundled up and decided to go play outside. Ollie was working so it was just me and the kids. I knew Anson wouldn't last long and that Genevieve would want to stay out all day so I wasn't sure how it would go down. At first we just enjoyed clomping around in the snow. Then we tried making snowballs, but it was kind of hard because the snow was so fluffly and light it wouldn't stick together very well. Genevieve then made some pretty snow angels. We had been out for a little while and Anson was getting cold and couldn't walk very well in all the snow in his boots so he wanted me to hold him. Then, that wasn't good enough, he wanted to go inside, but Genevieve wanted stay out. What to do? I took Anson in and told him to watch us from the window, which he actually enjoyed. Genevieve loved being his entertainment. She wanted to build a snowman and show him each step. Since it was so cold and we had been out for awhile I said we needed to just make a little snowman. Genevieve was okay with that and we made a cute little man. Afterwards we hurried inside right as it started to snow again. We had fun in the snow and look forward to the next time we get to play in it. We just hope it's not until next year! We're ready for spring!
