Having Fun Hot or Cold!

One afternoon a week or two ago the kids were going stir crazy. Being that it was a hot summer day in August I didn't really want to go outside, but we just had to get out of the house. I looked at that the weather and it read 99 degrees. Oh, my! We went out in the backyard anyway, but with the disclaimer that it would only be for a short time. The kids had fun in the sweltering heat riding bikes, climbing on the play structure and swinging. After 30 minutes we headed in doors soaked with sweat!

Friday morning we woke up to a lovely fall-like morning. The temperature read 72 degrees. Oh, wonderfulness! When walking outside Genevieve even said, "I'm freezing!". We walked over to our neighborhood park. The kids loved playing for two hours on the playground. This time outside was such a contrast to the previous time we were out. I know the heat isn't necessarily gone for good, but we'll enjoy the cool weather while we can.
