Genevieve's 5th Princess Birthday Party

The day before Genevieve's actual birthday we had her party. It was a princess party and it was so much fun! Genevieve loved dressing up as Cinderella and having all of her friends dress up in royal attire too. We started out decorating crowns with jewels. Then we had a special guest...Cinderella! She was fabulous! She kept the children entertained with stories, games, music, a treasure hunt, face or hand painting and balloon twisting. Afterwards we enjoyed a yummy castle cake and then presents. Everyone had a blast and the party was a huge success for our little princess! Oh, and a big thanks to Grammie & Pappaw for hosting the party at their house!

Story Times

While Genevieve is at school one activity that Anson and I do on a pretty regular basis is story time at the library. Our local library has a great children's story time, but we enjoy checking out other libraries as well. Anson loves all the interacting they have. He enjoys dancing, singing and of course, listening to stories. One day Daddy had the day off and as a special treat took Anson for story time, just the two of them. That day they listened to stories and then went outside and played with sidewalk chalk. The public libraries here really do have some great things for kids!

DMA

My moms group met at the Free 1st Tuesday at the Dallas Museum of Art. First Tuesday programming is designed specifically for children age 5 and under and their families. Anson had fun in their children's area playing with the dollhouse and people, puzzles, vehicles, books and more. This event was a lot of fun and we'll definitely go back again!

Happy Birthday, Pappaw!

We had a low key birthday celebration for Pappaw at my parents house. We began with opening presents. We then enjoyed a yummy meal that Grammie made and followed it up with delicious birthday cupcakes. I forgot to take more pictures unfortunately, but this one is a great one with Genevieve and Anson helping Pappaw blow out his candle. Happy, Happy Birthday, Pappaw! We love you!

Pinocchio

Casa Manana was having another production that we had to attend! This time we met Gracie and Denise to see Pinocchio. As usual the girls loved the show, but even more so, they loved getting to see each other!

Valley View

One rainy morning Anson and I met our friends Sarah Marie and Madeline at the mall's play area. The kids had so much fun playing together and burned off a lot of energy running around.
