Abe, Delilah and Hiawa came to visit for a weekend from Austin. Now that they live closer to us the kids have a lot more opportunities to spend time together, which they love! They certainly made the most of it and had a blast inside and outside in the sprinkler and water table.
Genevieve, Anson and I met Max, Stella and Melanie at the Aquarium one morning. My kids loved showing Max around. They loved the interactive pool and the sting rays the best! We've been to the aquarium before, but it continues to be a new adventure every time. Going with good friends makes it even better!
One morning the kids and I met my cousin Emily and her girls, Hannah and Alice Ann at their neighborhood swimming pool. We all had a blast cooling off in the pool together!
The kids participated in the library's summer reading program and one week's prize were tickets to the Rangers game. This was our family's first game together. The kids were so excited! They loved being at the ballpark, getting a free bat, eating a special treat and playing all the games they had for the fans. The game itself wasn't that interesting, but everything else was fantastic! Due to the heat we didn't stay for the whole game, but look forward to going again together next season!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and father, Ollie, who is busy pursuing his dream to be a doctor, a mother to a sweet, but sassy five year old girl, Genevieve, and a cuddly, but demanding two year old boy, Anson. I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, reading, musicals, hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming, the 80's, shopping, traveling (wish I could do this more often), baking, photography, animal rights, playing cards, backgammon, sudoku, Kraft macaroni & cheese, summers in Seattle, spring in New Mexico, fall in Texas, chocolate, real conversations about politics and religion with open-minded people, family walks, the smell of coffee, sunflowers, raspberries, vegetarianism, hanging out with friends and family. Life is continuously an adventure at our house!
