Dress-up

A favorite activity around here is playing dress up! Genevieve and Anson love to get all decked out in costumes! The pictures say it all!

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

As is our tradition, every new production Casa Manana puts on, we're there with Gracie and her mommy, Denise. When we arrived Gracie gave Genevieve a rudolph nose as a gift. The girls loved wearing them and lighting up. The show was fantastic! Afterwards the girls loved getting autographs from the stars. Can't wait for the next production!

Deck the Halls

Decorating for the holidays is an anticipated event at our house. Both kids love to help decorate, but especially Genevieve! After going to pick out our Christmas tree all together we were excited to hang the ornaments. I didn't take as many pictures as I would of liked, but here's a few highlights.

Trains and Scrooge

One morning we met our friends Chelsey and Elliott at North Park Mall for some holiday activities. We started by checking out the train exhibit. Of course Anson was in heaven, but all the kids thought it was pretty cool. This is the most elaborate toy train exhibit in Texas. The exhibit features more than 40 vintage locomotives chugging along 2,500 feet of track on a magical journey across America. The trains wind through captivating scenes and national landmarks including Washington Monument, the White House, Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Times Square and more. Then we headed over to see Scrooge, the puppet, perform. It was not at all what we were expecting, but it still kept the little ones attention. Scrooge playfully interacted with passing shoppers and members of the audience, but mainly was quite grumpy. I think this confused Genevieve since I had told her the story of Scrooge and The Christmas Carol before going to the show. Overall though we had a delightful time celebrating the holidays with our friends.

Farmers Market

One day after church we decided to head over to the Farmers Market and check it out. We were in awe with all the yummy looking fruits and vegetables. Each booth had samples for us to try. The kids loved tasting apples, tomatoes, pineapple, oranges and more! We got ourselves a bag to go filled with fresh produce all for a very low price. We will definitely go back often! Support local farmers!

Fun at the Park

We decided to take another trip to our neighborhood park. While there we had a great time on the playground trying new things like the pulley (we're not sure what it's technically called). The best thing we discovered though, were the big trees! It doesn't matter what age you are, they're always fun to climb in! It sure is a fun park and I bet you I'll blog about it again! :)
