I recently was cleaning Anson's room and to get him out of my way while doing so, I put him in his crib, which he didn't like. Genevieve asked if she go in there with him. Once I put her in there they started having a ball! They were both just having so much fun laughing and goofing off together that I had to go get my camera. I got some cute pics, but unless you were there you can't picture how cute they truly were together.
A few weeks ago Fort Worth had a record snowfall, 12 inches! Of course we had to get outside and play in it! Thursday we all bundled up and headed out. Genevieve had so much fun building a snowman! Anson wasn't a big fan of the snow since he just was getting wet and cold. Friday we decided to go out while Anson was napping. Again Genevieve had a blast! She enjoyed a snowball fight with Mommy and Daddy, making snow angels, eating the snow and just having tons of fun!
DISCLAIMER: Lots and lots of pictures! I had trouble narrowing them down:)
One of the major events in Fort Worth is the annual Stock Show and Rodeo. We'd never been to it since moving to town, so we decided to go check it out since this would likely be our last chance before moving again for Ollie's residency. Unfortunately we went on the very last day, which we learned is not the best day to go; everything was being packed up and most of the animals had been sold or had already traveled back home. We did get to enjoy the children's petting zoo, however. Both kids had fun feeding the cow, goats and chickens, and we also had fun walking around and saw some pretty horses. Then we went and met Elsie the cow and her calf, Beauregard. We saw her drink a big bottle of milk and then got to pet her soft coat. It wasn't the most successful day since we missed out on some of the things, but what we did see and do was a lot of fun!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and father, Ollie, who is busy pursuing his dream to be a doctor, a mother to a sweet, but sassy five year old girl, Genevieve, and a cuddly, but demanding two year old boy, Anson. I enjoy the outdoors, soccer, reading, musicals, hiking, snowboarding, camping, swimming, the 80's, shopping, traveling (wish I could do this more often), baking, photography, animal rights, playing cards, backgammon, sudoku, Kraft macaroni & cheese, summers in Seattle, spring in New Mexico, fall in Texas, chocolate, real conversations about politics and religion with open-minded people, family walks, the smell of coffee, sunflowers, raspberries, vegetarianism, hanging out with friends and family. Life is continuously an adventure at our house!
